Lemon essential oil has a refreshing and invigorating nature; it stimulates the senses and helps maintain a healthy circulation and immune system. The history of the lemon is not clear although there are references to it going back to the first century B.C. Although lemon trees grow wild in the Mediterranean (to a height of about 6 metres) they are in fact natives of Asia but are now cultivated in a number of other countries around the world.
The oil is produced by cold pressing from fresh peel.
